Description For Technical Support Engineer - Kubernetes

Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization is seeking a Technical Support Engineer specializing in Kubernetes to join their Customer Service & Support (CSS) team. This role involves owning, troubleshooting, and solving customer technical issues related to Kubernetes and container technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of container technology, fluency in Kubernetes, and experience in technical support or IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve customer issues through problem-solving, collaboration, and research
  • Assist in implementing end-to-end readiness programs and develop readiness content
  • Mentor new Technical Support Engineers
  • Review and resolve complex issues involving multiple product components
  • Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues
  • Provide feedback for product and process improvement
  • Participate in case triage meetings and contribute to knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field AND 1+ years of technical support experience, OR 3+ years of technical support or IT experience
  • Solid understanding of container technology and fluency in Kubernetes
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Technology Certifications
  • Kubernetes Administration Certification
  • 2+ years of technical experience in Linux, shell environments, and core OS services
  • Understanding of virtualization concepts and container-specific networking
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
