Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization, with over 17,000 employees worldwide, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer for SAP on Azure. This role is part of the Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization, specifically within the CSS-SAP RISE Co-Location team. The position focuses on supporting SAP workloads on Azure, ensuring system reliability and efficiency for joint customers. The role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement with up to 50% work from home opportunity.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing crucial support for SAP on Azure implementations, handling system performance tuning, root cause analysis, and incident resolution. They will work with various technologies including Azure infrastructure, HANA administration, and HA/DR solutions. Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineer - SAP on Azure

  • Single point of contact at site
  • Participation in incident response process
  • Drive quickest resolution for incidents
  • Provide detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Collaborate with VM, Networking, Storage, SAP teams
  • Build relationships with SAP and other teams
  • Contribute to building tooling and diagnostics

Requirements For Technical Support Engineer - SAP on Azure

Linux
  • Hands-on experience in SAP on Azure (Shared Disks, Backups, etc.)
  • SAP System Performance tuning and root cause analysis skills
  • HANA Administration experience
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux (SLES, RHEL), or UNIX
  • Experience with HA/DR technologies and Pacemaker Cluster
  • PowerShell/Bash scripting knowledge
  • RDBMS administration and SQL/KQL knowledge
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
