Description For Technical Support Engineer – Security & Compliance

Microsoft is seeking a Technical Support Engineer for their Security & Compliance team. This role involves providing high-level technical support to customers with paid support contracts, focusing on various security technologies. The ideal candidate should have a passion for technology, enjoy technical discussions, and be interested in solving customer problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for Microsoft security products and technologies
  • Communicate with customers via email (70%) and phone (30%)
  • Collaborate with global teams to resolve complex issues
  • Contribute to product improvement by providing feedback to development teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the IT industry
  • Experience in communicating with external customers
  • Business-level Japanese language skills
  • Basic English reading and writing skills (with opportunity for improvement)

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the IT security field
  • Experience with Azure/Microsoft 365 E5 implementation
  • Troubleshooting and debugging experience
  • Experience with packet analysis and dump analysis
  • Business-level or higher English language skills

Work Style:
