Description For Technical Support Engineering

Microsoft's Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization is seeking a Security and Compliance Support Engineer to join their team. This role is part of the Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization, which comprises over 17,000 employees worldwide. The position focuses on Azure Cloud Security and Compliance support, where you'll be responsible for supporting cutting-edge security products including Microsoft Purview, Azure Information Protection, and Exchange Online.

As a Security and Compliance support engineer, you'll be working with enterprise customers to resolve complex issues related to Azure Cloud and On-Prem Microsoft security & compliance products. The role requires extensive technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service. You'll be working in a hybrid environment with up to 50% work from home flexibility.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory administration, and enterprise cloud security. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting issues, developing documentation, and collaborating with teams across Microsoft to deliver optimal solutions. Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineering

  • Investigate and solve customer technical issues
  • Lead and participate in building technical communities
  • Develop technical proficiency through training
  • Identify and escalate potential product defects
  • Advise customers on product features and capabilities
  • Analyze log data for troubleshooting
  • Develop and document troubleshooting runbooks
  • Collaborate with other Microsoft teams for solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of product roadmaps and emerging technologies

Requirements For Technical Support Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 1+ years experience, OR 3+ years technical experience
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • 5+ years experience in Exchange Online supporting email hygiene, labels, policies and audit logs
  • 5+ years customer-facing support experience
  • 5+ years experience with Azure Active Directory administration
  • 3+ years enterprise cloud experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise environments with 1000+ users
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
