Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization, with over 17,000 employees worldwide, is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join their Customer Service & Support (CSS) team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional technical support for Microsoft's enterprise products and services, particularly in cloud and infrastructure solutions. The position offers a hybrid work environment with up to 50% remote work capability.

The role combines deep technical expertise with customer service excellence, requiring proficiency in Windows Server, Azure Stack HCI, and various enterprise technologies. You'll be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, mentoring team members, and contributing to product improvement initiatives. Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineering

  • Review and resolve complex technical issues across multiple product components
  • Act as technical advisor to customers and handle escalated cases
  • Perform complex product troubleshooting and remediation
  • Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues
  • Implement end-to-end readiness programs and mentor other engineers
  • Provide feedback for product improvements
  • Develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools
  • Participate in case triage meetings and knowledge sharing

Requirements For Technical Support Engineering

  • 5+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or IT experience (or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT with 3+ years experience)
  • Experience with Windows Server management tools
  • Proficient in Azure Stack HCI, Hyper-V, Containers & Kubernetes, Windows Failover Clustering
  • Fluent English proficiency
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Network configuration and connectivity troubleshooting experience
  • Storage performance and reliability troubleshooting experience
  • Understanding of Active Directory Domain Services and DNS
