Description For Technical Support Engineering

Microsoft's Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization is seeking a Technical Support Engineer specializing in Cybersecurity Endpoint Protection. As part of the Security, Compliance, Identity and Management (SCIM) team, you'll tackle complex technical issues for enterprise customers. The role offers up to 100% remote work flexibility and is part of Microsoft's larger mission to empower global digital transformation. You'll leverage AI technology to help customers protect their data while managing hybrid and cloud solutions. The position combines technical troubleshooting with customer service, requiring both deep technical knowledge and strong communication skills. With over 17,000 employees worldwide in the Customer Experience & Success organization, you'll be part of a team focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business value through Microsoft's products and services. Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineering

  • Review and resolve complex technical issues
  • Utilize troubleshooting tools for customer issue resolution
  • Perform in-depth product troubleshooting and remediation
  • Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues
  • Assist in implementing end-to-end readiness programs
  • Mentor new Technical Support Engineers
  • Provide feedback for product and process improvement
  • Participate in case triage meetings and knowledge sharing

Requirements For Technical Support Engineering

Linux
  • 3+ years technical support, technical consulting experience, or IT experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 1+ year experience
  • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English
  • Enterprise cloud experience with major cloud providers
  • Customer facing support background supporting enterprise environments with 1000+ users
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Competent on Windows Server, Windows Client, Active Directory or Azure Active Directory Administration
  • Knowledge in Linux or Mac administration
