Description For Technical Support Engineering

Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their dynamic team of 17,000+ employees worldwide. This role sits within the Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization, specifically in the Digital Transformation Platform (DTP) group, which delivers world-class support for global customers on their digital transformation journey.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies including Data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Business Intelligence, Power BI, SQL, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform. As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for owning, troubleshooting, and resolving customer technical issues, with a strong focus on SQL Server administration and database management.

The role requires extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database administration, migration, high availability solutions, and performance tuning. You'll be working in a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge with team members, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Microsoft's products and services.

Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineering

  • Review and resolve complex technical issues
  • Perform in-depth product troubleshooting and remediation
  • Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues
  • Assist in implementing end-to-end readiness programs
  • Mentor new Technical Support Engineers
  • Provide feedback for product improvement
  • Participate in case triage meetings and knowledge sharing

Requirements For Technical Support Engineering

MySQL
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 1+ years of technical support experience
  • 3+ years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration experience
  • Experience in database migration and upgrades
  • Proficiency with SQL Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer
  • Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery
  • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
