Description For Technical Support Engineering

Microsoft's Customer Service & Support (CSS) team is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their growing Azure support organization. As part of a 17,000+ employee Customer Experience & Success organization, you'll play a crucial role in empowering customers to accelerate business value through Microsoft's products and services.

The position offers a hybrid work environment with up to 50% work from home flexibility. You'll be responsible for owning, troubleshooting, and resolving customer technical issues related to the Windows Azure Platform, Microsoft's strategic cloud solution. This role requires strong technical expertise in cloud computing, operating systems, virtualization, and networking concepts.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of technical support experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer success. You'll work closely with engineering teams, participate in knowledge sharing, and contribute to product improvements. Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineering

  • Own, investigate and solve customer technical issues
  • Build communities with peer delivery roles and share knowledge
  • Develop technical and professional proficiency
  • Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately
  • Provide technical support to Azure customers
  • Collaborate with PG engineering and operations
  • Maintain technical skills through ongoing readiness and Platform training

Requirements For Technical Support Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field
  • Fluent English language skills in reading, writing and speaking
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with Windows Azure Platform services
  • Knowledge of Operating System/Virtualization concepts
  • Understanding of networking concepts (VIPs, NAT, DNS)
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting tools
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
