Description For Technical Support Engineering

Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their Customer Service & Support (CSS) team. This role is part of the Digital Transformation Platform (DTP) group, which delivers world-class support for global customers on their digital transformation journey.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies including Data analytics, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Business Intelligence, Power BI, SQL, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform. As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for owning, troubleshooting, and solving customer technical issues, with a strong focus on SQL Server database administration and management.

The role requires extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database administration, migration, maintenance, and optimization. You'll work with various versions of SQL Server and be responsible for implementing high availability solutions, disaster recovery, and performance tuning. The position offers flexibility with up to 100% work-from-home options and requires only 0-25% travel.

Requirements For Technical Support Engineering

MySQL
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field AND 1+ years of technical support experience
  • 3+ years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration experience
  • Experience in database migration and upgrades
  • Proficiency with SQL Management Studio and database maintenance
  • Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization
  • Strong customer management and communication skills
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
