Microsoft's Customer Service & Support (CSS) team is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their dynamic organization of 17,000+ employees worldwide. This role focuses on Azure cloud services support, requiring deep technical troubleshooting skills for escalated issues. The position offers a unique blend of customer interaction and technical problem-solving, with opportunities to work directly with Microsoft's cutting-edge cloud technologies.

Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineering

  • Own, investigate and solve customer technical issues
  • Lead and participate in building communities with peer delivery roles
  • Develop technical and professional proficiency through training
  • Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately
  • Manage relationships with corporate customers
  • Lead triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers
  • Write complex technical articles and sample programs for knowledge base
  • Conduct technical triages and SDQF SME case reviews
  • Manage customer escalations and collaborate with product teams

Requirements For Technical Support Engineering

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 1+ years of technical support experience
  • Fluent English language skills in reading, writing and speaking
  • Understanding of Windows Azure Platform or other cloud offerings
  • Knowledge of deploying VMs in Azure, Creating Virtual Networks, Subnets
  • Understanding of networking concepts (IP Addressing, Subnetting, Routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP, ARP, VPN)
  • Experience with Hyper-V configuration and administration
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
