Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization, with over 17,000 employees worldwide, is seeking a Windows Support Performance Engineer to join their Customer Service & Support (CSS) team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional technical support for Microsoft's Windows systems, combining advanced troubleshooting skills with customer service excellence.

The position offers a hybrid work environment with up to 50% work from home flexibility. As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of resolving complex Windows-related issues, from boot problems to performance optimization. You'll leverage Microsoft's AI technology to help customers resolve issues efficiently and prevent future problems.

Responsibilities For Windows Support Performance Engineer

  • Own, investigate, and solve complex customer technical issues
  • Act as an advisor to customers
  • Lead in building communities with peer delivery roles
  • Share knowledge through readiness programs and technical coaching
  • Mentor others and deepen technical proficiency
  • Engage with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability teams
  • Investigate potential product defects
  • Help develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools

Requirements For Windows Support Performance Engineer

  • Advanced troubleshooting experience with Microsoft operating systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting no boot issues
  • Experience with Performance Monitor and performance troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Windows Shell configuration and management
  • Experience with Event Logs and Auditing
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Knowledge of Basic debugging skills and Windows Internals (plus)
  • French, German, Italian or Spanish language skills (plus)
