Mighty Acorn is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in JavaScript/TypeScript to join our mission of transforming government digital services. Founded in 2023, we're a professional services company dedicated to making government services more efficient and user-friendly through automation and DevOps practices.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of building automated testing systems for large-scale software projects. Your expertise in TypeScript and browser automation will be crucial in developing robust testing frameworks using Playwright. You'll tackle complex challenges like setting up mock data across distributed systems and simulating realistic traffic for load testing.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and browser automation tools. You'll work in a remote environment, collaborating across multiple scrum teams to deliver innovative solutions that help teams work faster and more efficiently. Your role will be instrumental in advocating for DevOps principles and working closely with manual testers to automate processes.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript)

  • Build automated testing systems to test functionality and performance of large-scale software projects
  • Write Typescript code to do browser automation using Playwright
  • Come up with solutions to complex problems such as mock data setup and traffic simulation
  • Work across multiple scrum teams to find solutions for faster value delivery

  • 3+ years of Typescript/Javascript experience
  • Experience using browser automation tools (Playwright, Puppeteer, or Cypress)
  • Experience in testing or optimizing performance of web applications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Must be US citizen or green card holder
  • Fast internet connection (>100Mbps)
  • Must be located in contiguous United States
  • Must pass criminal background check
