Structural Engineer III/VII

Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer III/VII to join their team in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and advance your career in structural engineering.

The ideal candidate will have 6-12 years of experience in structural design, with a PE and/or SE license (or be close to obtaining one). You'll work on a wide range of vertical design projects, from new buildings and substations to highway bridges and retaining walls.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing engineering service requests
• Analyzing building/bridge structures and foundations
• Performing complex structural analyses using various methods and software
• Conducting QA reviews on structural analysis reports
• Generating engineering reports and answering structure-related inquiries
• Staying updated on new technical methods in structural engineering

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 6-12 years of structural engineering design experience
• Experience with AutoCAD, BIM, and structural analysis software (e.g., RISA-3D, STAAD, Tedds)
