As a Manufacturing Process Engineer at Mill, you'll play a crucial role in developing and optimizing the manufacturing processes for Mill's products. The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of sustainability and manufacturing technology.

The role involves close collaboration with the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams in San Bruno, CA, where you'll be responsible for conducting Design for Manufacturability reviews, optimizing assembly processes, and implementing quality improvements. You'll work with Contract Manufacturing partners and Tier 1 suppliers, designing fixtures and improving production efficiency.

This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in manufacturing processes and electro-mechanical systems. You'll need to bring 5+ years of relevant experience, along with expertise in CAD (NX) and the ability to write scripts for data analysis. The role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive initiatives independently.

Responsibilities For Manufacturing Process Engineer

  • Work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams on Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly reviews
  • Optimize production capacity and efficiency through manual and automated assembly processes
  • Design and develop fixtures/tooling including supplier selection and coordination
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation
  • Collaborate on resolving customer quality issues
  • Qualify manufacturing processes for new products
  • Provide on-site support at Sanmina Planta 8
  • Drive cost reductions and quality improvements
  • Set up Reverse Logistics Triage Testing systems

Requirements For Manufacturing Process Engineer

  • Strong electro-mechanical background
  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, supplier management & statistical process controls
  • 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Process Engineer
  • Engineering degree (BSEE, BSIE, BSME)
  • Knowledge of CAD (NX)
  • Ability to write scripts for data analysis
  • Exceptional problem solving, communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
