Data QA Engineer

Mindera is seeking a Data QA Engineer to join their Data Engineering crew. The role focuses on ensuring data quality from ingestion to presentation, using various techniques and technologies. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in delivering and growing automation frameworks, supporting the quality engineering community, and promoting best practices in data testing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coaching crews in data quality engineering practices and behaviors
• Utilizing toolsets for Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines
• Advancing software quality practices and maturity within the tribe
• Designing and implementing automated test scenarios
• Collaborating with POs, Solution Architects, and Engineers to design testable solutions
• Ensuring quality is built into all aspects of development
• Innovating and delivering continuous improvements

Required skills:

• Quality-first mindset
• Proactive approach to self-learning and improvement
• Experience in coaching quality engineering practices
• Strong background in Quality Engineering with Agile methodologies
• Working experience with SQL (Snowflake/DBT a bonus)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of serverless concepts and technologies
• Programming principles and best practices

Desirable skills:

• Commercial background in Data Engineering or Science
• Experience with AWS services
• Non-functional testing experience
• Knowledge of Data Quality Principles (DAMA)
• Python programming skills
