Description For Design Engineer

Mintlify is revolutionizing the documentation space, serving as the modern standard for technical documentation that reaches over 20 million developers annually. As a platform powering documentation for 5000+ companies including notable names like Anthropic, Scale AI, Cursor, X, Perplexity, and Zapier, we're at the forefront of developer tools innovation.

We're looking for a Design Engineer who can bridge the gap between design and development, bringing strong technical skills in modern frontend development alongside refined design sensibilities. This role is perfect for someone who's passionate about creating beautiful, responsive interfaces while maintaining excellent code quality and performance.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Next.js, TailwindCSS, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript practices. You'll be responsible for developing responsive web applications, creating reusable component libraries, and optimizing application performance. This is an opportunity to work directly with founders and make a significant impact on a product used by millions of developers worldwide.

Our culture emphasizes growth, humility, and customer focus. We're a small team of 14 people who believe in moving fast, taking big swings, and creating an environment where the best ideas win. We offer competitive compensation ($150K-$200K), equity (0.15%-0.30%), comprehensive benefits, and a flexible work culture that includes perks like wellness stipends and team offsites.

Join us in our mission to empower developers worldwide and help shape the future of technical documentation.
