Description For Analytics Engineer II - Core Data Product

We're on a mission to make money management effortless for every business in Europe. As an Analytics Engineer II in our Core Data Products team, you'll play a crucial role in this journey.

The Core Data Products team is a central pool of data professionals, working on complex, often regulatory projects with bespoke requirements. You'll be part of a team that tests new concepts for our data platform before scaling them across the company.

As a 'generalist' analytics engineer, you'll enjoy working across both data engineering and analytics. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Executing complex projects with bespoke, often regulatory requirements
  2. Transforming data into clean, robust, and easy-to-use models
  3. Diving deep into data analytics to drive business decisions
  4. Turning insights into compelling stories through various mediums
  5. Building and maintaining robust data models using dbt and Looker
  6. Contributing to the evolution of the data analytics craft

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a data analyst, analytics engineer, or data engineer
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, pragmatic, and 'can-do' attitude
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, database design, and ETL processes
  • Fluency in SQL (BigQuery) and experience with dbt
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with BI tools (Looker)
  • Experience working with Git
