Senior Engineer

Mollie, a leading European payment service provider, is expanding its Engineering department with a new hub in Milan, Italy. This role is part of the Merchant Monitoring team, focusing on building technologies to detect and prevent malicious or insolvent merchants from harming Mollie and its customers.

The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies in a cross-functional team alongside Engineers, Data and ML specialists. You'll be responsible for enhancing existing tools and developing new ones using monitoring algorithms based on streaming and machine learning. The role is crucial for maintaining Mollie's profitability and compliance with regulations like anti-money laundering.

As a Senior Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building and scaling Mollie's Java ecosystem, working on large-scale services and features. The ideal candidate brings strong Java expertise, experience with cloud platforms, and a solid background in building scalable systems.
