Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Mollie, one of Europe's fastest-growing fintech companies, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Milan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by working on ultra-reliable next-generation financial APIs and payments platforms.

As a Senior SRE at Mollie, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of payment-related services used by tens of thousands of merchants and consumers daily. You'll work closely with system and software engineers to ship new products, balancing frequent deployments with high system reliability and security. Your role will involve setting and maintaining SLOs and SLAs, designing for failure, and implementing robust monitoring systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and improving highly available systems
• Working with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud-based systems
• Improving deployment processes and reducing risk through CI/CD
• Capacity planning for fast-growing systems
• Designing and maintaining automation tools to minimize downtime
• Using post-mortems as a tool for planning and improving automation
• Making data-driven decisions
• Upholding 24/7 system reliability alongside fellow engineers

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 6 years of experience running highly available systems
• Proficiency in a high-level programming language (Go/Python/Ruby/PHP)
• Strong understanding of large-scale applications
• Experience with Linux systems and shell scripting
• Ability to take data-driven decisions and maintain high standards for production systems
