Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Mollie, one of Europe's fastest-growing fintech companies, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Cloud Ambassador team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by working on next-generation financial APIs and payments platforms, ensuring their ultra-reliability.

As a Senior SRE at Mollie, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and improving infrastructure for over 100 services using cutting-edge technologies like Golang and Terraform. Your expertise will be crucial in migrating entire service infrastructures with zero downtime, a task that demands both technical prowess and strategic thinking.

You'll play a key role in enhancing developer experience through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) simplification and automation. This includes improving project templates that enable developers to go from local environment to production on the same day, tackling challenges with Terraform, Slack integration, Jira ticket automation, and Golang applications.

Your responsibilities will extend to providing guidance for engineers, helping them adopt standard solutions, and enabling them to manage infrastructure independently using your templates. You'll have the opportunity to enhance Terraform templates and modules, always seeking ways to make processes simpler and faster.

The role also involves critical decision-making in architecture design for new features. You'll have the flexibility to propose ideal solutions and engage others in implementation. Your expertise will be vital in providing infrastructure templates and modules for GCP, Gitlab, and Datadog services.

Kubernetes and GKE will be part of your daily toolkit as you maintain dozens of single and multi-tenant clusters. Additionally, you'll be tasked with solving service-to-service issues and improving internal network solutions, contributing to the overall robustness of Mollie's infrastructure.

This position is perfect for a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in running large-scale, highly available systems. You should be skilled with cloud platforms, proficient in high-level programming languages, and have a strong background in CI/CD, containerization, and Linux systems.
