Staff Backend Software Engineer

Moloco is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to lead feature development, design, optimization, testing, and maintenance of software applications and solutions for internal and external end users. As a key member of our backend infrastructure teams, you'll help scale our products (RMP and the #1 Independent DSP) as we push for growth and scalability.

As a Staff Backend Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Lead project teams of 5+ engineers
• Collaborate across teams and roles (Product Management, SRE, Data Science, ML engineering, etc.)
• Work on large-scale distributed systems
• Mentor and lead Senior, Mid, and Junior Engineers
• Design and develop systems from requirements gathering to production implementation

We're looking for someone with:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience using modern languages like Java, C#, Go, C++
• 10+ years of software development experience on backend/infrastructure systems
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent (Master's highly preferred)
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems
• Strong system design and development skills
• Mastery of skills involved in developing large-scale systems (integration testing, deployment, monitoring, production troubleshooting, database schema design, data processing pipelines)
• Proven track record of delivering projects with material impact
