Staff Engineer

MongoDB, the leading developer data platform, is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their Atlas Search team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cloud-based distributed systems software responsible for the entire lifecycle of search, including data ingestion, partitioning, performance, availability, query language, and aggregation.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, building and designing the integrated search platform written in Java. You'll contribute to leading open source platforms like MongoDB and Lucene, participate in product and architecture discussions, and collaborate with various teams across the organization.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in modern programming languages, experienced in developing distributed systems and cloud services, and eager to impact the technological future of a complex system. Experience with search platforms, distributed databases, and debugging multithreaded JVM applications is preferred but not required.
