The role involves partnering with Enterprise Account Executives to conduct discovery calls, product demonstrations, and provide POC support. You'll be responsible for delivering customized demonstrations of Motive's product offerings, matching customer needs with solutions, and maintaining expertise on both current products and the development roadmap.

Motive serves over 120,000 customers across various industries, including transportation, logistics, construction, energy, field service, and manufacturing. The platform leverages industry-leading AI to provide complete visibility and control while reducing manual workloads through automation.

This position offers competitive compensation ($180,000 - $240,000 USD) and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401k, and stock options. The role requires about 30% travel and combines technical expertise with business acumen.

Responsibilities For Senior Sales Engineer

  • Partner with Enterprise Account Executives for discovery calls, product demonstrations, POC support and onsite meetings
  • Provide customized demonstrations of Motive product offering
  • Match customer pains and requirements to proposed solutions
  • Become an expert on Motive's competition
  • Maintain expertise on current product offering and roadmap
  • Work on RFIs and RFPs with Enterprise AEs
  • Act as sales liaison between internal organizations

Requirements For Senior Sales Engineer

  • Minimum 5+ years working with Enterprise level sales prospects in pre-sales/sales engineering capacity
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Bachelor's of Science preferred, MS a plus
  • Ability to travel ~30%
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Consistent track record selling complex solutions
  • Experience with Enterprise sales cycles
  • Experience with APIs and integrations
