As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical qualification, solution design, and proposal support to the commercial and client services teams. You will act as a product specialist, providing consultancy for the installation, configuration, and use of our SaaS platform, website solution, and digital products. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing technical support to Sales teams in proposal development, pre-sales, and post-sales activities
- Offering product, business, and technical knowledge for sales activities
- Acting as the technical bridge between MotorK and (potential) clients
- Supporting Sales executives in assessing prospective customers' needs
- Ensuring high-quality responses to RFPs and RFIs
- Providing solution architecture based on customer requirements
- Liaising with Product management to build bespoke solutions

**The role**
The Backend Engineer will:
- Develop and deliver robust, maintainable backend solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product owners and other developers to deliver incremental value.
- Understand and address business needs through effective coding practices.
- Lead and assist in testing procedures, working closely with QA Engineers.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and solutions.

**Requirements**
- Extensive expertise of OOP in a Java environment. PHP, Python, Node, and other general-purpose programming languages are beneficial.
- Experience working with modern Javascript frameworks (Angular, React, VueJS, etc)
- Comfortable working across multiple platforms and environments.
- Demonstrate a mindset of delivering secure, well-tested, and well-documented software
- Experience with deploying complex applications on cloud platforms using a container orchestration platform, such as Kubernetes.
- Prefers simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and has a good intuition for what will last and scale
- Solid engineering fundamentals (CS degree a plus)
