Our partner is a Hungarian company striving for innovative IT solutions. They are seeking a Scala developer to join their expanding development team, which is part of an international development team. The role involves working on one of the largest Scala projects in the world, applying graph programming paradigms. Key responsibilities include developing innovative solutions within their powerful graph-calculation framework, implementing performance improvements, and participating in all stages of the IT system lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in computer science, experience with Scala and functional programming, and excellent problem-solving skills. This position offers the opportunity to work on highly visible, technically challenging projects in a collaborative, agile environment.
Responsibilities For Scala developer
- Work in an agile manner with the global team
- Understand their powerful graph-calculation framework and develop innovative solutions within that framework in Scala
- Identify and implement performance and efficiency improvements in their calculations
- Develop tools to automate and simplify existing desk workflows
- Participate in all stages of the lifecycle of an IT system
- Apply technical skills on one of the largest Scala projects in the world, applying graph programming paradigms
- Work on highly visible, technically challenging projects involving teams from multiple departments
- Analyse business problems and determine appropriate solutions
- Produce automated tests
- Collaborate with other developers to solve problems
Requirements For Scala developer
- BSc or MSc in any relevant field of IT/Engineering/Maths/Sciences
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and computer science
- Understanding of or personal interest in Functional Programming paradigm and Scala language
- Excellent software development abilities - our partner develop in Scala (Java)
- Prior experience in working with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, working with PR-s, using JIRA, following the Scrum Agile methodology is an advantage
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Proactive approach to improving software and processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- A good command of English
- Strong communication skills
