Responsibilities For Cobol CICS Developer
- Develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based applications using CICS for transaction management
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient and reliable mainframe solutions
- Write and optimize CICS commands to support real-time processing
- Debug and resolve issues in existing COBOL-CICS applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications with other systems and databases
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of the applications
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and operational procedures
- Perform regular code reviews and ensure adherence to company and industry coding standards
- Support deployments, migrations, and enhancements of mainframe systems
Requirements For Cobol CICS Developer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL and CICS
- Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques within a mainframe environment
- Experience with database systems, particularly DB2
