Description For Junior Mechanical Engineer

Mytos is revolutionizing the biotech industry by developing machines that fully automate human cell production - a crucial process in drug discovery and cancer treatment. As a Y Combinator-backed company that recently raised $19M, we're already working with multibillion-dollar biotechs across the US. Our world-class team combines ex-Dyson engineers with Nature-published scientists, creating an innovative environment at the intersection of engineering and biology.

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be integral to our hardware development team, working on sophisticated machines that incorporate multiple electro-mechanical systems. You'll be involved in everything from making our devices more robust to designing complex components that interface with optics and fluidics. This role offers unique exposure to biotech applications while focusing on core mechanical engineering challenges.

We're looking for someone with a strong mechanical engineering background who's fascinated by complex systems and manufacturing processes. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while contributing to potentially life-saving medical research. The position offers competitive compensation, including stock options, and is based in our lab at the Imperial College Innovation hub in White City, London.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing startup that's making a real impact in drug discovery and development. You'll work in a collaborative environment with high learning potential, alongside experts from various fields. While we require on-site presence due to the hardware nature of the role, you'll be part of a team that values continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving.
