This remote position offers a competitive salary range of $145,000-$183,000, along with equity, annual bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities For Staff Information Security Engineer
- Design, implement, and manage security controls in accordance with HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001, NIST frameworks
- Conduct threat modeling and security risk assessments
- Perform vulnerability scans and apply patches
- Coordinate third-party penetration testing efforts
- Support security audits and lead remediation efforts
- Lead security incident response efforts
- Implement continuous monitoring and SIEM solutions
- Integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies
- Assess security posture of third-party vendors
- Provide security training to internal teams
- Develop security configurations for firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM
- Develop strategies for business continuity and disaster recovery
Requirements For Staff Information Security Engineer
- 8+ years experience in Information Security with healthcare focus
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001, NIST
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud security tools
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, IAM, and endpoint security
- Expertise in securing cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
