Software Engineer 3

As a Software Engineer 3 at Natera, you will design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications and services to support Natera Operations information processing for genetic lab tests. You will work with operational teams to optimize their workflows and software and build the next generation of Natera ops tools, using a combination of tools, including the LabVantage platform.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working closely with stakeholders and users to define requirements
• Translating requirements into reliable and extensible operations-friendly applications in Java
• Making key design and technical implementation decisions with the engineering team
• Having a holistic view of processes and systems involved in taking patient samples from order to result in a multi-product clinical laboratory
• Understanding LIMS platform features and proposing solutions
• Integrating enterprise systems and services to create seamless business processes
• Improving development processes and evangelizing best practices
• Developing and maintaining automated tests
• Providing second-tier production support

Qualifications:

• BS degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with Java, Spring Frameworks, Hibernate, web services, XML/JSON, and Oracle databases
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
