Software Engineer III - Japanese Oncology Portal Application

Natera is seeking a Software Engineer III to help design, develop, and maintain their web portal application serving providers in the Japanese oncology space. As a member of the engineering team, you will play a key role in improving the user experience and functionality, ultimately helping to positively impact patient outcomes.

The role involves:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining microservices for the Japan-specific provider-facing web portal
• Working with modern and legacy technologies in a rapidly changing environment
• Participating in design and technical implementation decisions
• Collaborating with product managers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders
• Ensuring high standards of excellence and product suitability for Japanese users
• Supporting the software lifecycle from ideation to release, operation, and maintenance
• Building and maintaining highly available systems
• Supporting QA activities

Key qualifications:

• Fluent in Japanese with native-level proficiency (written and spoken)
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with NodeJS, TypeScript, React, and other web technologies
• Front-end development experience
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes
• Experience with Test-Driven Development and/or Domain-Driven Development
• Familiarity with service-oriented and microservice architecture
• Experience with AWS ecosystem
• GraphQL and REST API design skills
• Strong relational database skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
