Description For Quality Control Engineer

Natron Energy is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to support their innovative battery production teams. This role is crucial in maintaining ISO9001:2015 compliance and implementing control plans. The position involves working with cutting-edge sodium-ion battery technology that serves major markets including data centers, EV charging, and commercial aviation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance in battery manufacturing and electro-mechanical assembly, driving towards Zero Defect manufacturing. They will participate in Material Review Boards (MRB), Change Control Boards (CCB), and execute quality plans and procedures.

Responsibilities For Quality Control Engineer

  • Execute requirements, builds, documentation, integration, testing and release of battery cells, battery packs, and supporting sub-assemblies
  • Evaluate and disposition processing non-conformances documentation
  • Collaborate with design engineering and suppliers for requirements development and verification
  • Assist Managers in management for capital projects
  • Prepare project presentations for management

Requirements For Quality Control Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline with 5 years experience or Master's degree with 3 years experience
  • Experience with peer reviews, systems, drawings, or documents
  • Understanding of ISO9001:2015 standards
  • Current MRB certification
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action facilitator training
  • Experience with MS Project or Gantt Chart methodology
  • Knowledge of operational excellence or lean six sigma
  • Experience as a process auditor
  • Knowledge of supplier quality techniques
