As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll have cradle-to-grave ownership of electronic board designs, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet industry standards and customer requirements. The position requires a strong background in electrical engineering with at least 5 years of experience, and expertise in areas such as BMS, sensor designs, and PCB design.
The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,000 to $178,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k with match, and parental leave benefits. Responsibilities For Senior Electrical Engineer
- Understanding industry and customer application requirements and translating these into product design specifications
- Formulate and specify product test requirements for system electronics
- Cradle-to-grave ownership of electronic board designs for high-powered battery systems
- Design and test small signal electronic boards and subsystems to meet UL, telecom, and data center compliance requirements
- Document designs with engineering models, schematics, BOM, simulation models and theory of operation
- Provide mathematical analyses, simulation and electrical models for designs
- Work with Operations and Manufacturing Teams to meet cost targets through optimized design
- Assist mechanical engineers with physical layout of PCBs
- Participate in FMEA for product designs
Requirements For Senior Electrical Engineer
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Over 5 years of experience in electronic components/electrical systems design
- Experience with BMS, Sensor designs, Digital processor design, Filter designs & Serial Interface designs
- Experience with high speed, multi-layer PCB design and assembly with CAD tools proficiency
- Experience with EMI/EMC design, validation testing, ESD and latch-up testing
- Prior experience supporting UL, CSA certification processes is a plus
- Demonstrated experience working with engineering teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity with Product development phases and engineering change processes
- Experience with designs going into commercial production
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
