Senior Software Engineer (Salesforce)

Nava is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Salesforce) to improve overall engineering quality through documentation, technical guidance, mentoring, and applying best practices. The role involves leading significant migration efforts, collaborating with government stakeholders, and working with product teams to build new systems and improve existing ones.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, reviewing, and building well-crafted software with fellow Nava engineers
• Collaborating with government partners and contractors to architect, implement, and deploy systems
• Working in an agile manner to efficiently ship new features
• Creating tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows
• Writing and reviewing technical documentation, performing code reviews
• Participating in on-call rotation to support production systems
• Assisting in developing the overall vision for Salesforce updating and integration
• Implementing merge of two similar but distinct Salesforce orgs
• Integrating with external data sources
• Consolidating and improving separate data models into a cohesive whole
• Analyzing existing Apex code and Flows for optimization

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in agile, multidisciplinary team environments, preferably designing and building medium to large-scale Salesforce applications. Experience with AWS and SQL databases is a plus. The role requires a strong understanding of user interface design best practices, the ability to integrate Salesforce into enterprise-level cloud applications, and excellent problem-solving skills.
