Description For Software Engineer (EDI Gateway)

Nava is a consultancy and public benefit corporation working to make government services simple, effective, and accessible to all. As a Software Engineer (EDI Gateway) at Nava, you'll work with fellow engineers to design, review, and build well-crafted software. You'll collaborate with government partners and other contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements to existing systems. The role involves writing and implementing code, performing local testing, writing technical specifications, reviewing pull requests, and collaborating with internal and external engineers. You'll also participate in agile processes such as sprint demos, retrospectives, and refinements. This position requires expertise in EDI Gateways, Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC), and claims systems, as well as experience with Java/Python and web-based systems. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience developing software in a team environment, preferably building distributed systems.
