Description For Staff Machine Learning Engineer

As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Neon, your main responsibility will be to develop and implement machine learning models for fraud prevention. This includes batch models for detecting "mule" accounts and real-time models for account takeovers, card transaction monitoring, and transfer monitoring. You'll also be tasked with building the necessary foundations and structures to enable batch and real-time machine learning at Neon, using modern technologies and best software practices. This may involve partnering with other machine learning infrastructure teams, collaborating with teams that have machine learning needs, hiring third parties, or building part of the infrastructure internally. Finally, you'll collaborate with the engineering team to enable the implementation of machine learning in conjunction with our rules engine.

Requirements:

  • Specialization in machine learning techniques and pipelines
  • Expertise in Python data science and machine learning libraries
  • Previous experience in designing machine learning flows from scratch
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and mitigate project risks

Differentials:

  • Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Experience with statistical analysis
  • Experience with third-party machine learning solutions such as Tecton, DataBricks, SageMaker, etc.
  • Experience with fraud, credit, risk, or fintech is desirable but not mandatory
