The position focuses on Network Discovery & Reconciliation, Network Observability & Monitoring, and Agents & Fleet Management, working on both closed and open source projects like Orb, Diode, and pktvisor.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience, with strong expertise in Golang, Python, and distributed systems. You'll work in a remote-first environment, collaborating with product owners, the NetBox team, and community members to deliver compelling solutions.   • Work with Product owners to bring ideas to life and deliver compelling user experience
  • Collaborate with NetBox team to create observability tooling within NetBox
  • Work with platform team to ensure seamless integration with NetBox Cloud and Enterprise
  • Engage with community members as users and contributors to the project

Requirements For Software Engineer, Observability

  • 3+ years of experience with idiomatic Golang
  • Experience with Python, Docker, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Redis
  • Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and event driven architecture
  • Deep knowledge of observability, monitoring and instrumentation
  • Solid understanding of networking and related concepts
  • Great communication skills, including ability to write technical specifications with diagrams
  • 3+ years of experience working in a fast paced startup environment
