Description For Analytics Engineer (L5) - Content & Studio

Netflix is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer for their Content & Studio team based in the United States. This role is crucial in partnering with Creative Production leadership to empower the creation of Artwork and Trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and the ability to influence strategic decisions through data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner for Studio & Creative Production teams
  • Drive innovative solutions using data and analytics
  • Develop tools ranging from scrappy code to high-visibility dashboards
  • Create new metrics that impact decision-making
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists & Data Engineers on data sourcing and modeling

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work independently
  • Extensive experience in data wrangling, analysis, reporting, and visualization
  • Expertise in data-oriented programming languages (SQL, Python, R, Scala, etc.)
  • Proficiency in dashboard/visualization design (e.g., Tableau)
  • Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, and core statistics concepts
  • Ability to work across different cultures in a globally-distributed team
