Netflix, the world's leading entertainment service with 283 million paid memberships globally, is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join their Data Science & Analytics team. This role is crucial in optimizing Netflix's extensive infrastructure, which includes both AWS services (as AWS's biggest customer) and their custom-built content delivery network, Open Connect.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data analytics and infrastructure optimization. You'll collaborate with Analytics Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists to develop tools and metrics that drive better infrastructure decisions. The role involves close partnership with engineering leadership and Strategy, Planning & Analysis teams to shape infrastructure analytics strategy.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating compelling data narratives about Netflix's infrastructure usage, building analytics products, and ensuring data quality through collaboration with Data Engineering partners. The role requires expertise in data pipeline engineering, proficiency in SQL and Python, and strong storytelling abilities with data.

The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $170,000 to $720,000, with a unique structure allowing you to choose your preferred mix of salary and stock options.   • Create vision for infrastructure usage storytelling and build consensus with Engineering Leadership and Strategy teams
  • Build best in class analytics products
  • Work with Data Engineering partners to ensure quality data for products
  • Provide mentorship to other Analytics Engineers
  • Connect with Netflix analytics community to increase work visibility

Requirements For Analytics Engineer (L5) - Product

Python
  • Experience in engineering data pipelines and ETL using SQL and Apache Airflow
  • Fluency in Python or similar analytics languages
  • Experience in storytelling with data and stakeholder communication
  • Strong relationship building skills for cross-functional problems
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders
  • Strong product thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfort with ambiguity and minimal oversight
