Netflix, a global entertainment leader with 283 million subscribers, is seeking an AV Builds Field Engineer to join their Netflix Technology Services (N-Tech) team. This role is crucial in optimizing employee productivity through technology support and AV solutions. The position offers an opportunity to work with enterprise-level collaboration systems and broadcast equipment, managing projects from conception to completion.

The role involves working with the Enterprise AV Builds team, which has a global scope covering multiple corporate locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing AV standards, managing project commissioning, providing Tier 4 AV support, and serving as a bridge between AV verticals. The position requires expertise in large-scale AV builds, project management, and advanced field engineering.

Key aspects of the role include designing and supporting conference rooms, managing video conferencing systems, and handling complex AV installations. The engineer will work with cutting-edge technology including Q-SYS, Crestron, DSPs, and Dante/AES systems. The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $700,000, with the flexibility to choose between salary and stock options.

Responsibilities For AV Builds Field Engineer

  • Work closely with AV team and space planning teams to define technical requirements
  • Design, build, and manage conference rooms and collaboration spaces
  • Facilitate commissioning new AV builds and resolve issues with vendors
  • Manage and develop processes for project handoff and documentation
  • Provide technical support for escalated issues
  • Develop processes and standards for conference room designs
  • Document and communicate processes to team, vendors, and partners
  • Foster partnerships with team members in other regions
  • Quality control of inventory and asset management
  • Develop escalation workflows between teams

Requirements For AV Builds Field Engineer

  • Experience with AV design and deployment including acoustics and lighting
  • Experience with Google Meet video conferencing hardware preferred
  • Advanced AV field engineering experience with Q-SYS, Crestron, DSPs, and Dante systems
  • Demonstrated project management experience with large projects
  • Advanced understanding of networking technology and video transmission over IP
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting advanced audio/video equipment
  • Experience with AV integration on integrator and corporate side
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing vendors, suppliers and integrators
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and forecast project needs
  • Willing to travel internationally and domestically
