Data Engineer (L5) - Privacy

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable frameworks for data privacy and legal needs
• Engineer efficient and adaptable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Develop a deep understanding of Netflix's data ecosystem from a privacy perspective
• Partner with privacy engineering teams to enable responses to customer and regulatory data requests
• Mentor teammates and elevate the team's impact
• Enable effective management of legal and regulatory risk while maintaining high consumer data privacy standards

Requirements:

• Passion for consumer-centric data privacy and risk mitigation
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala with 10+ years of software/data engineering experience
• Advanced SQL skills and comfort in complex data environments
• Extensive experience with big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink)
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to lead complex systems design and implementation independently
