The position sits within two key teams: the Media Infrastructure Platform (MIP) - Cosmos Platform, which handles all video processing in Netflix's catalog, and the Enterprise Developer Paved Road (EDPR) team, which provides a developer-friendly platform for content creation ecosystem applications.

As a Distributed Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing robust, scalable infrastructure with a focus on developer experience and operational excellence. The role requires strong expertise in Java or similar OO languages, microservices architecture, and distributed systems, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts to cross functional team peers
  • Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
