Distributed Systems Engineer (L5), Content Engineering

This role is crucial in building the technologies that power Netflix's global content creation and promotion platform, directly impacting shows like "Squid Game" and "Stranger Things."

The position sits within the Content Engineering division, which develops products and services used by creative partners to create, launch, and promote Netflix's global content. You'll be working on either the Content Middleware Infrastructure team, providing studio-specific data, workflow, and messaging platforms, or the Media Infrastructure Platform team, handling large-scale infrastructure for content media.

As a Distributed Systems Engineer, you'll architect and build highly available, fault-tolerant systems, lead technical directions, and mentor other engineers. The role requires expertise in Java or similar languages, strong distributed systems experience, and excellent communication skills. You'll work in a diverse, inclusive environment with team members from various backgrounds and countries.

The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $170,000 to $720,000, with flexible stock options.
