Description For Distributed Systems Engineer (L5) - Data Platform

Netflix's Data Platform teams are seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer to evolve and innovate their infrastructure. The role spans across multiple teams including Online Data Stores, Data Security & Infrastructure, and Data Discovery & Governance. You'll work on building and maintaining high-performance, reliable datastores and developing scalable infrastructure for Netflix's massive data operations.

The position offers the opportunity to work with diverse technologies and solve complex problems at scale. You'll be part of teams that manage various data domains including Caching, Relational, Search, Key-Value, and Composite datastores. The role involves working with multiple programming languages including Go, Python, and Java, and contributing to open-source communities.

As a Distributed Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating scalable, high-leverage infrastructure tailored to Netflix's scale. You'll work on the Netflix-wide data catalog, distributed search and lineage infrastructure, and policy engine framework.   • BS in Computer Science or a related field
