Distributed Systems Engineer (L5) - Data Platform

Netflix's Data Platform teams are at the forefront of enabling data-driven decision making across the organization. The role focuses on two key areas: Online Data Stores and Data Discovery & Governance. The Online Data Stores team manages various datastores at scale, including Caching, Relational, Search, Key-Value, and Composite systems, while actively contributing to open-source communities. The Data Discovery & Governance team builds foundational systems for data organization, security, and compliance, including a Netflix-wide data catalog, distributed search and lineage infrastructure, and an extensible policy engine framework.

As a Distributed Systems Engineer, you'll be instrumental in evolving and innovating Netflix's data infrastructure. You'll work on building robust, scalable, and highly available distributed systems, collaborate across teams, and contribute to Netflix's open-source initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to solve complex problems at scale while working with a diverse team of product managers, program managers, designers, and engineers.
