Distributed Systems Engineer L5 - Delivery

Netflix is seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer L5 for their Delivery Core team. This full-stack platform engineering team enables continuous delivery of software and infrastructure changes across all Netflix services. The role involves working on developer platforms like Spinnaker and Managed Delivery to improve software deployment, infrastructure changes, and application deployment specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reducing friction and time to deploy software across the internal fleet
• Improving the safety of infrastructure changes
• Enhancing ease of use for configuring application deployment specifications

The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong software skills in Java or other JVM languages
• Experience with complex distributed systems components
• Proficiency in backend services and integration layers
• Ability to break down complexity and communicate progress

Additional helpful skills include:

• Experience with Java or Kotlin
• Background in developer platform teams
• Familiarity with Spring Boot framework
• Proficiency with high volume data stores
