Distributed Systems Engineer (L5) - Infra Control Planes

Netflix is seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer (L5) for their Infra Control Planes team. This role is part of the Cloud Engineering organization, which manages Netflix's massive cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will drive the transformation of Netflix's cloud infrastructure control planes towards a platform enabling high-level declarative infrastructure orchestration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building Distributed Systems for sequencing, provisioning, and configuring service infrastructure using Temporal, Java, Kotlin, and Go
• Operating critical Tier-0 Control Planes
• Engaging with end engineering users to improve their experience
• Cross-functional collaboration and communication

Required skills:

• Proficiency in Java, C++, Go, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with building and operating highly reliable distributed systems in cloud environments
• Ability to tackle ambiguous problems and break them down pragmatically
