Distributed Systems Engineer, Membership Engineering - L5

Netflix is seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer for the Membership Engineering team. This role involves orchestrating flows and managing subscription states for all Netflix customers. You'll work on member-flows like signup, plan changes, upsells, offers, cancellations, and renewals. The position requires 5+ years of experience in crafting resilient, high-scale, low latency distributed microservices. You'll engage in cross-functional work, interacting with engineers, designers, product managers, and data scientists to enable feature-rich product development. Recent projects include cracking down on password sharing, enabling Ads plan, and bringing new features to existing Netflix plans. The role also involves improving infrastructure and platform to meet growing business needs, maintaining highly-scalable infrastructure, and providing first-class on-call support. Experience with Java, Kotlin, C#, or Scala, as well as technologies like ElasticSearch, Kafka, and AWS is beneficial.
