Responsibilities For Machine Learning Scientist (L4/5) - Media Understanding, Content & Media ML Foundations
- Build ML models that push state-of-the-art using Netflix's unique multimodal dataset or algorithmic innovations
- Design and implement state-of-the-art machine learning models for visual, audio and textual data
- Optimize model performance while ensuring computational efficiency and scalability
- Deploy and scale models using PyTorch and Netflix's ML infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problem statements, shape roadmaps and execute on priorities
- Engage with the ML community through research and conference participation
- Communicate complex concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements For Machine Learning Scientist (L4/5) - Media Understanding, Content & Media ML Foundations
- Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and multimodal representation learning
- Experience with self-supervised learning, contrastive loss, and transformer architectures
- Proficient in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX, with experience deploying models at scale
- PhD or MS in CS, AI, or related field, with relevant research or applied experience
- Strong track record of solving complex problems with innovative solutions
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
