The role demands a seasoned professional with 4+ years of experience in shipping games across multiple platforms, particularly mobile (iOS/Android). You'll be at the intersection of various teams including Production, Partner Engineering, Quality Assurance, Launch Operations, Games Reliability, and Player Support, ensuring seamless build releases and updates.

Key responsibilities include managing the entire release process for Netflix Games, participating in crucial meetings to identify risks, improving automation processes, and ensuring compliance with platform requirements. You'll need strong technical knowledge of app store platforms, game development lifecycles, and QA processes.

Responsibilities For Release Manager, Games - Operations

  • Operate the ingestion, submission and release process for Netflix Games' output
  • Represent Release Management in Launch Readiness, Mission Control and War Room meetings
  • Solve problems and spearhead initiatives to improve processes and tools automation
  • Identify and communicate potential release impact
  • Ensure products comply with requirements for game releases and updates
  • Facilitate distribution of builds across teams using established tools and automation
  • Evaluate QA reports and communicate build health concerns
  • Evolve frameworks and guidelines for platform access
  • Create and maintain workflows, runbooks and checklists

Requirements For Release Manager, Games - Operations

  • 4+ years of experience shipping games and updates on multiple platforms including mobile (iOS/Android)
  • Hands-on experience with App Store Connect and Google Play Developer Console
  • Strong understanding of the Game Development lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of QA service levels and QA life cycles
  • Experience managing and operating automation pipelines
  • Experience with Live Service operations and titles
  • Problem-solving abilities
