Description For Security Analytics Engineer L4

Netflix is seeking a Security Analytics Engineer L4 to join their team. This role focuses on using data for consumer product security in two ways: providing insights into the effectiveness of security measures across products, and building intelligence to address fraud at scale. The engineer will drive insights and discovery of fraud in the Netflix ecosystem by understanding infrastructure and product, identifying high-risk areas, and driving changes to anomaly detection and product experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing data-driven insights to influence device & product security strategy
  • Compiling and tracking anomalous request patterns and identifying potential mitigations
  • Planning and recommending changes to increase device and content security
  • Analyzing error logs to quantify potential device-level vulnerabilities
  • Developing characterizations of request attributes across a diverse device and client ecosystem
  • Building insights into security and identity of Netflix's device ecosystem and developing dashboards

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Passion for protecting customers & product
  • Familiarity with various aspects of fraud and abuse types
  • Experience with analytics (SQL, Python) and critical thinking
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills
