Software Engineer, Enablement Apps Platform and Reliability Team - APAC

Netflix is seeking a senior software engineer for the Enablement Apps Platform and Reliability team within the Client and Partner Technology Team. This role involves leading initiatives to develop solutions for internal and external partner engineers, ensuring system reliability, and building tools for testing device and payments integration, catalog APIs, and more. The position requires 5+ years of software development experience, proficiency in Java, Python, React, JavaScript, and Node.js, and experience with microservice architecture. The role is hybrid, with 2 days remote or in the Taipei office and 3 days in the Hsinchu City office. Key responsibilities include providing technical support, driving reliability initiatives, developing new technical solutions, collaborating with product managers and designers, and enhancing existing applications. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, be proactive, and comfortable working with regional teams and remote teams across multiple time zones.

What you will do:

• Provide technical support for applications and tooling
• Drive reliability initiatives across the Enablement Apps organization
• Develop new technical solutions across teams
• Work with product managers and design team on product decisions
• Revamp and update existing web applications
• Enhance and maintain existing applications
• Collaborate in a cross-functional dynamic environment

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience with Java, Python, React, JavaScript, and Node.js
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational data stores
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot complex microservice systems
• Experience maintaining and improving legacy systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with remote teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with UI frameworks, React, GraphQL, gRPC
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Experience with alert monitoring and service observability
• Data analysis skills using tools like Grafana, Kibana, or Tableau
• Incident handling experience
• Slack Bot development experience
• Experience with web UI end-to-end testing frameworks
